Publisher review:EyeTV is a program to turn your Mac into a TV and DVR, but also watch TV shows on your iPod or even export your recordings to two TV or to your library iTunes .
The program offers you the ability to watch live TV on your computer, pause a program, go back or forward. You can reduce or enlarge your TV window to perfection, accurate information on channels that you watch and grouped according to their category or order of preference. A guide to the program (provided by DVB) is also included.
The software was also designed to allow you to record your favorite TV programs. You can then group your recordings into different categories, or configure EyeTV so it makes sorting for you. You also have the option to use Spotlight to search your records by name or description for.
Recordings are subsequently convertible, with an integrated editor. For example, you can remove commercials, or cut your records keep only certain sequences (you can also send these sequences directly to iPod or AppleTV without saving).
Your recordings are also changeable with editing software such as iMovie ®, iDVD ®, or DVD Studio Pro ®.
The program is compatible with Toast ® 8 Titanium Roxio (not included), allowing you to burn DVDs with a single click.
Finally, EyeTV offers excellent image quality and can display High Definition TV in full resolution (on Macs dual processor G5 or Intel Core Duo). It reads and saves the TV with Dolby Digital and 5.1 surround.
